Traditional Thai Wardrobe Women: At A Taste of Thai, the female servers will wear the traditional Thailand Siwalai costume. This formal dress consists of a long sleeved blouse which is either buttoned at the front or the back. The blouse is tucked beneath a sinh, also known as a tube skirt. The sinh length runs down to about the ankle. The skirt and blouse are sewn together to create a one piece dress. The Siwalai costume also has an over-shoulder sbai. In Thailand, the Siwalai costume is worn at royal ceremonies or other formal functions, as formal evening attire. This wardrobe choice for the women servers at A Taste of Thai fits with the restaurant because it goes with the theme of a traditional Thailand restaurant by having our servers wear traditional Thai clothing.
